Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement Co-Create Apple TV+ Series ‘Time Bandits’
Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement have teamed up to co-create the new Apple TV+ series “Time Bandits,” which is inspired by Terry Gilliam’s beloved 1981 fantasy film. While the series shares the same premise, the two say they mostly went their own way when approaching the story.
The series stars Lisa Kudrow, and Waititi and Clement also play recurring characters. They spoke with AP entertainment journalist Kaitlyn Huamani about the project, including reports of Gilliam visiting the set, the challenges of casting little people, and the pressures of working on a remake.
